Registering with The Hartford Mutual Funds Online

To begin accessing your account online, select Register from the left navigation pane on the Login to Your Account page.

You will need your Social Security Number (SSN) and one account number from your portfolio, so be sure to have that information handy.

Once you enter your SSN and account number, you will create a personal Username. Usernames must be 8-15 characters in length and contain at least one letter.

Next you will create a password 8-30 characters long which must include at least one letter and one number. Your password is not case sensitive. For example, "PASSWRD1" and "passwrd1" are considered the same password.

Then you will select a password question from the drop-down list, and enter your answer to that question. If you forget your password in the future, you will be able to reset it by answering your password question correctly. The answer to your password question cannot be the same as password you created above.

Press Submit to view the terms and conditions for The Hartford Mutual Funds Online. Select the check box and press Submit to go to your Portfolio Summary page.

Help with Your Username

Your Username must be 8-15 characters in length and contain at least one letter.

Your personal Username was created when first registering with The Hartford Mutual Funds Online. You can change your username once you have logged in to your account.

If you have forgotten your Username, but know your password, select the "Forgot your Username?" link below the Username field on the Login to Your Account page.

Help with Your Password

Your password must be 8-30 characters long, and must include at least one letter and one number. Your Password is not case sensitive. For example, "PASSWRD1" and "passwrd1" are considered the same password.

If you've forgotten your Password, you must create a new one. Be prepared to enter an account number so that we can verify your identity. To reset a forgotten Password select the “Forgot your Password” link on the Login to Your Account page.

Help With Suspended Account Access

If your online account access has been suspended, or if you have forgotten both your Username and your password, you will need to speak with a Service Specialist at 1-888-843-7824. Service Specialists are available from 7am-6pm Monday – Thursday and 8:15am–5pm Friday, Central Time.

Important: If a Mutual Funds Service Specialist has reset your password, you must create a new password for your existing Username. To create a new password after your Username has been reset, select the “Forgot your Password” link on the Login to Your Account page. On the following page, select "Create Password for Username" and complete the required information. We recommend completing this action immediately after speaking with a Service Specialist.
